Against Cole, the Dodgers will roll out the same nine players they did in Game 1 and have throughout most of the World Series. The only change for Game 5 is in the bottom third of the lineup, where Tommy Edman has been bumped up to seventh and is followed by Will Smith and Gavin Lux.< https://hotellahasienda.com/friends/ /p>
• Buehler became the eighth pitcher with a win as a starter and a save in the same postseason series since saves were official in 1969. To get on the board in the series, the Yankees will need much more than Schmidt. Aaron Judge, on the heels one of the best regular seasons of all-time, continues to struggle in the postseason. He’s 1-for-9 in the World Series with six strikeouts.

Game 2 world series
It’s extremely difficult to believe the Yankees will force this World Series to go the distance, much less win, without the MVP version of Judge. For the second straight day, the Dodgers’ starting pitcher completely neutralized Judge’s bat. Game 1 starter Jack Flaherty and Game 2 starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto combined to strike out Judge five times in six at-bats and didn’t allow him to reach base. Yamamoto especially looked confident facing the player who recorded the highest OPS (1.159) in baseball this season.
Ohtani suffered a left shoulder subluxation in the seventh inning of the Dodgers’ 4-2 victory in Game 2 on Saturday night when he slid into second on an unsuccessful steal attempt. The injury looked bad, but Ohtani is officially in the lineup for Game 3.
Basketball doesn’t really have an analog for this, but the other major team sports all do. Within any game, there will be strongest and weakest stretches for you, and that’s fine; it’s unavoidable. The quality of your opponent determines your margin for error, though, and if your worst stretch is a little too sloppy and your opponent is really good, the rest of it might not matter. Football games can slip irretrievably away because of one bad turnover that the opponent turns into points. Even more akin to baseball is soccer, where the scoring baseline is low enough that a lapse of just a few minutes can render 85 minutes of hard fight and sound plans meaningless.
The Yankees did not go out without a fight, though. After Giancarlo Stanton drove in Juan Soto with an RBI single that struck the third base bag, the next two hitters reached to load the bases with one out. Dodgers closer Blake Treinen struck out Anthony Volpe, then Alex Vesia came in and retired Jose Trevino on one pitch to escape the jam and secure the win.
