Well, I played it as a kid and didn’t think it was at all challenging at the time, until you got to the forest of illusion. At its core, Super Meat Boy is a basic, free-flowing, platformer. Its mechanics are well designed and the art style and concepts are engrossing. The only issue is that it will chew players up like yesterday’s dinner before throwing them in the garbage. Those who finish the main campaign and manage to endure its brutality then need to tackle the ‘Dark’ levels – which are even more extreme.

We talked about finding areas on the map where blue balls don’t reach. This is a valuable strategy, but there are some levels that actually have designated checkpoints. These checkpoints allow you to restart at them once you die instead of having to start the level over from the beginning. Not only do they save your progress, but they also offer you a chance to catch your breath and figure out how to solve the next portion of the level.
“Elden Ring” is highly intuitive, not as hard as other Soulsborne games to pick up, and I think might be one of the best (and hardest) video games ever made. I cannot recommend it enough to anyone who wants a challenge in their lives, having a challenge like this is very fun to play through. “Elden Ring” can be bought for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
Roguelike games usually feature a high difficulty curve, which is what gives them longevity, since you often have to start over from the beginning. Combining the genre with a real time strategy management of a spaceship and its crew, “FTL: Faster Than Light” can lead to frustration at the same speed as its title! Keeping track of all the systems, especially during combat, can feel impossible, particularly for beginners. You’ll die and die again, and each run is different, so it’s not so much a learning curve as it is a learning pretzel.

The Dodgers wanted to recapture the comradery they felt when they won the championship at the end of the COVID-19-shortened season of 2020, while quarantined in a hotel for three weeks. The off time was their opportunity. They spent at least eight hours together at the ballpark every day, even when they weren’t working out. They watched the other playoff games. They ate. Game 6 was originally scheduled to take place on Friday, a relatively light night with no meaningful college football competition, but after Game 3 was postponed a day to rain, MLB elected to push back all of the remaining games.
The New York Yankees are staying alive after avoiding the sweep and beating the Los Angeles Dodgers 11-4 in Game 4 Tuesday night. Now with momentum, the Yankees will try to once again avoid elimination as the Dodgers hope to clinch their first full-season championship in more than 30 years.
Knight advanced to second on the wild pitch. Several times during the ensuing series of pitches, second baseman Barrett realized that Knight was straying too far from the base and that if he could get Stanley to turn and throw to him, he would have an easy pickoff play and the inning could have ended there. Despite his best attempts, Barrett never was able to get Stanley to hear him as the sellout crowd at Shea Stadium was drowning him out, and Stanley instead chose to focus on getting Wilson out.
As for this year’s LCS competitors, the Rangers grabbed their first victory in two tries in a Game 7, dropping the Astros to 2-4. The D-backs won their only previous chance — beating the Yankees in a memorable Game 7 of the 2001 World Series — prior to winning Game 7 of the ’23 NLCS vs. the Phillies.
